The Ferrari 599 GTO is a self-typed extreme V12 berlinetta by Ferrari. In essence, it is a street version of the Ferrari 599XX and was unveiled on April 8, 2010. The public debut followed at the international Beijing Motor Show at the end of April. The GTO weighs nearly 100 kg less than the standard 599 GTB. This was achieved, among other things, by using carbon fiber for several parts, such as the front splitter, side skirts, and dual rear diffuser, as well as interior components (parts of the console, dashboard, and seats). The original version also featured a two-tone body color scheme with a matte black roof.
